Vibration Training
Vibration training is a novel method of exercise that is being used by more fitness enthusiast and athletes. It is possible that you have either seen or heard of vibration in a club or gym. Infinity Personal Training and Fitness has the most respected, tested and validated vibration platform available in the industry.
There are several different ways in which vibration can be used to produce a desired effect. Some of these applications include:
- Increase Metabolic Response
- Improve Flexibility
- Develop Strength and Power
- Improve Balance
- Enhance Warm Up
- Optimize Recovery and Regeneration
Vibration training isn’t a panacea to fitness and will never replace hard work and consistency. However, vibration may optimize a fitness program by being incorporated at specific times during a training session. Below are a couple examples of where vibration could be used during a training session.
Vibration for warm up and flexibility: Start the session with a segmental flexibility routine that will focus on the hips, lower back muscles and legs. There is an involuntary muscular contraction which increases blood flow, improves flexibility and stimulates the nervous system. This response sets the stage for an effective and efficient training session.
Vibration with Strength Training: Vibration can be incorporated into several different movements that can complement traditional exercises. For instance, a reverse lunge, bodyweight squats or even push ups could be added during the course of a workout. Vibration stimulates muscles in a different but effective manner that can increase strength, power and endurance.
Recovery and Regeneration: After a difficult workout your muscles are in a catabolic state and there is also an accumulation of fatigue. Vibration can assist in naturally elevating your bodies muscle building hormones and depressing muscle degenerating hormones. This response can accelerate recovery, reduce soreness and better prepare you for your next workout.
Everyone should not use vibration and there are some conditions that could be potentially dangerous to the individual. If you don’t feel comfortable or have any of the following conditions vibration training should be avoided.
- Pregnancy
- Acute thrombosis
- Serious cardiovascular disease
