Chrissy’s career in Personal Training springs from a love of athletics and a desire to help others realize their own physical potential. Having been a competitive swimmer from age 6 through college at the University of Notre Dame, Chrissy believes very strongly in using exercise to achieve a healthy life/work balance.
Following 10 years in the computer industry as a software programmer, and 10 years as a full-time mom, Chrissy earned a Masters degree in Exercise Science/Physiology from UCCS. Along the way, various sports have provided an outlet for her competitive nature both as an athlete and as a coach. She holds certifications from USA Swimming and ASCA (American Swim Coach’s Association). She has coached various levels of age-group swimmers from developmental to high school, helping many athletes qualify for STATE Championship competition. In addition, she coached herself to a 5th place finish in her age-group at the 2008 Ironman World Championships and has competed in various other triathlons, marathons, and trail races over the years, completing the Pikes Peak Ascent 7 times, finishing as high as 7th in 2007.
Her current athletic interest is tennis. Her mission is to educate as many people as possible about caring for their bodies and the use of resistance training to prevent, and rehab from, injury. Chrissy is currently pursuing NSCA certification as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
